We were inspired by a poem written by our farmworker colleague Paula Zambrano titled, \u201cBasta, Basta, Basta\u201d about how farmworker women are tired of being treated with harassment in the fields and warehouses.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"color:#8f2539\" class=\"has-inline-color\">What is the BASTA Coalition of Washington and Who is involved?&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-medium-font-size\">The BASTA Coalition is an organization developed by key stakeholders in the State of Washington, including researchers from UW and UWB, advocates, lawyers and farmworkers themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-background has-medium-font-size\" style=\"background-color:#1cb25c\"><strong>&nbsp;Our goal is to prevent sexual harassment on Washington\u2019s farms.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"color:#8f2539\" class=\"has-inline-color\">What is the BASTA Coalition doing to aid and protect Farmworkers?<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-medium-font-size\">We\u2019ve co-developed a worksite toolkit so that farms can prevent the spread of sexual harassment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-medium-font-size\">We\u2019ve conducted outreach to farmworkers about their rights.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"color:#8f2539\" class=\"has-inline-color\">What is the BASTA Coalition currently working on?&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-medium-font-size wp-block-list\"><li>BASTA is currently working towards designing a website as our main platform to educate the community about the hardships women farmworkers face, as well as advocate for them.
